Our April Monthly Meeting and Cultural Presentation “Italian Culture in America” will be held on Thursday, April 13th at 7:00pm. In 1887, Thomas Jefferson traveled through the northern regions of Italy. When he returned to America two years later, he brough the culture of il bel paese back with him. To celebrate Jefferson’s 280th birthday, we’ll have a brief book presentation and a raffle for a signed edition of “Italian Culture in America: How a Founding Father Introduced Italian Art, Architecture, Food, Wine, and Liberty to the American People.” After the raffle, watch a special showing of the 1995 film, Two Bits starring Al Pacino. Author Ralph G. Giordano has donated an autographed book, and all proceeds from the raffle will go to the AIHA. Raffle tickets are $1.00 each, 6 for $5.00. Reservations required by April 11th.
Thursday, April 20th at 1:00pm we will hold a Brainstorming meeting. We will plan fundraisers, classes, workshops, social events, etc. for 2023. We invite you to this important meeting. If you are not able to attend, please send us your ideas. The meeting will only be for 1 hour. We need your ideas and willingness to volunteer.
Our Annual Italian Easter Bake Sale will be held at the Museum on Saturday, April 8th from 12 to 3pm. A detailed pre-order form can be found on page 20 of this newsletter. Please contact us if you are willing to bake for the sale. Some items will be available for purchase on April 8th but Bella Napoli items must be pre-ordered.

Lew Elia will present “Galileo” one of the world’s greatest scientist. He was born on February 18, 1564. His birth marked the beginning of the ages of reason. He discovered the principle of falling bodies which framed the basis of modern day physics. Lew’s presentation will take place on Wednesday, May 3rd at 1:00pm Lew’s presentation are always informative and interesting.
Italian Genealogy Seminar, Saturday, May 6th at 10:00am. The class will include an overview of the first steps in finding your “lost” Italian ancestor and living relatives and proceed to more in-depth resources. Please note this is a beginner only class. You may bring your wireless device (smart phone, pad, etc.). Please make your reservation by May 4th. In Instructor is John Capano.
