    The museum will be closed for the 4th of July.

    Practice your Italian will meet in July on the 9th and 23rd at 1:00pm. The instructor will be Joe Anastasio.

    “Sweet Summer” on the lawn will take place on Thursday, July 25th at 6:00pm. We will serve pizza, refreshments, and dessert for $7.00. Reservations must be made by July 23rd. Bring a lawn chair, playing cards, a game, use our bocce court, or just come and visit! We hope to have some Italian entertainment. Summer is a wonderful time of the year and we have a great lawn for an event like this!

    Practice Your Italian will meet at 1:00pm on the following Tuesdays: August 6, August 27, September 10, and September 24.

    Our Ferragosto Celebration will take place on Friday, August 16th, at 6:00pm. We will serve sausage and pepper sandwiches, soda and dessert. The cost is $15. Bring your playing cards, games or play bocce on our court. Or just come to visit! We hope to have Italian entertainment. Ferragosto is a public holiday celebrated in all of Italy. Reservations required by August 13th.

    Join Us for a Game of Tombola (Italian-style bingo) on Tuesday, August 20th and September 17th, at 1:00pm. Call Ann Sweeney, chair, at (518) 421-2546 if you plan to attend.

    Coffee & Conversation will take place at 1:00pm on Monday, August 19th, and on Monday September 23rd at 1:00pm. Please bring a dessert to be enjoyed with coffee.

    Our Annual Volunteer Appreciation Party will take place on Thursday, August 22nd. Dinner starts at 6:00pm. You must make your reservation by August 20th.

    September Monthly Meeting and Cultural Presentation, Thursday, September 24th at 7:00pm. The presenter and topic will be announced on Facebook and by email. Please bring a dessert to share for the reception. Our monthly meetings are informative and an opportunity to visit with fellow members. Please attend, your support is important in keeping this event vibrant.

    Porchetta Dinner on the Lawn and Movie Night!, Saturday, September 14th at 4:00pm. You don't want to miss this double feature—dinner and a show! We are combining an authentic Italian dinner with a screening of the Italian romantic comedy Bread and Tulips. Our menu will include two crowd favorites, porchetta and baked eggplant, plus a pasta dish, salad, dessert and drinks. The outdoor buffet will be served from 4 to 7pm (inside in case of rain). Free museum tours, music and raffle prizes! The movie will be shown upstairs in the museum at 7:30pm (approx. 2 hours). Tickets are $40 for adults, $25 for children 12 and under. Seating is limited, so please specify whether your reservation is for dinner, the movie, or both by calling (518) 435-1979, mailing a check to the museum, or buying tickets through PayPal at aiha.museum@gmail.com.

    AIHM Members are invited to attend “An Afternoon at Altamont Vineyard & Winery” on Sunday, September 29th, from 1:00 to 4:00pm. Come join your fellow AIHM members at the Altamont Vineyard to taste their wine and food in a beautiful setting with views of the Helderberg Mountains. At the vineyard, you may taste their wines, buy a glass or bottle to share, and purchase lunch (a la carte) with choices of wood-fired pizzas, paninis or charcuterie platters. We will raffle off a basket of Italian food and wine as a fundraiser for the AIHM. The event will be held at Altamont Vineyard & Winery, 3001 Furbeck Road, Altamont, New York.

The vineyard will reserve tables under their large tent for our group. It's important that you RSVP to ensure there is ample seating to comfortably accommodate our group. Seating cannot be guaranteed to those who do not RSVP by September 12.
