    Friday, May 31st – 6:30pm: Pizza & Movie Night

    SOLD OUT EVENT -Mark your calendar for June 3rd to join us to celebrate the American Italian Heritage Museum’s 45th Birthday at the Italian American Community Center at 257 Washington Avenue Extension. A grand Italian buffet will be served from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, and will include classic Italian dishes such as creamy Fettuccine Alfredo, Chicken Parmesan, and Sausage and Peppers. There will also be freshly carved meat and antipasto stations, and a selection of desserts including a celebratory birthday cake! Cash bar.
    Tickets are $40 per person including tax and tip. Please FSVP by calling the museum and mailing your payment to the museum by May 24th. Your check is your reservation.

    During June, Practice Your Italian will take place on Tuesday, June 4th and Tuesday June 18th at 1:00pm. The instructor is Joe. Anastasio.

    Our annual St. Anthony Celebration will take place on Tuesday, June 11th at 1:00pm. Please bring a dessert for the reception that will follow the program.

    Flag Day is Friday, June 14th. The American flag flies 365 days a year in front of our museum. On Friday, June 14th at 1:00pm we will have a program outside of the museum. Please bring a dessert for the reception to follow.

    You are invited to a Mass of Thanksgiving on Saturday, June 15th at 4:00pm at All Saints Catholic Church, 16 Homestead St. (off Western Ave), Albany, NY. I am having this mass said in deep gratitude that, in spite of our trials and tribulations, we have made it to our 45th birthday. Prof. DiNovo

    Coffee and Conversation on Wednesday, June 19th at 1:00pm. Please bring a dessert to share.

    June Monthly Meeting and Cultural Presentation on June 20th at 7:00pm. Following the business meeting, Edward A. Iannuccilli, M.D., a retired gastroenterologist will present “Whatever Happened to Sunday Dinner and other Stories.” Dr. Iannuccilli is a very interesting speaker. He is the author of six books. Please bring a dessert for the reception.

    The museum will be closed for the 4th of July.

    Practice your Italian will meet in July on the 9th and 23rd at 1:00pm. The instructor will be Joe Anastasio.

    “Sweet Summer” on the lawn will take place on Thursday, July 25th at 6:00pm. We will serve pizza, refreshments, and dessert for $7.00. Reservations must be made by July 23rd. Bring a lawn chair, playing cards, a game, use our bocce court, or just come and visit! We hope to have some Italian entertainment. Summer is a wonderful time of the year and we have a great lawn for an event like this!
