Jumpstart your Italian Genealogy” is the title of a class..  People often ask themselves “I know my ancestors existed, how do I find them”? This class will provide information on free internet resources to find these “lost” ancestors and new, living relatives, you never knew existed. The class will be taught by John Capano a retired educator. A donation of $5 is request. Please make your reservation by October 1.

Friday, October 6th at 7:15pm
Italian American Comedy Night: . We will show “I’m Starvin!” starring Italian American Comic, the late John Pinette. The one hour comedy is hilarious. The cost is $5 and a reception will follow. Please make your reservation by October 4. Feel free to bring snacks to enjoy. This is a fundraiser!!

Monday, October 9th (Columbus Day))
Our Annual Columbus Celebration and Open House:. Program starts at 11:00am, followed by a reception. Open House from ll:00am to 2:00pm. Admission for Columbus Day for non-members is reduced to $1.00 (a $4.00 savings!). We all need to make sure Columbus is honored, we look forward to seeing you.

Thursday, October 12th at 7:00pm
Our October Monthly Meeting . Followed by “La Terra Nera – Muckland Farmers of Canastota, NY”. The presenter is Historian, Tricia Barbagallo. She documents the history of agriculture in Madison County, New York and the Italian immigrant farmers, whose onion farms made New York the Onion Capital of the United States. Desserts are welcomed for the reception following. Free and open to the public.

Friday, October 27th at 6:30pm
Pizza & Movie Night: . The movie is “Letters to Juliet” (English). The comedy, drama, romance movie is about a young American who travels to Verona, Italy and inspires a woman to travel to Italy in search of her long-lost love. Cost is $5 for pizza and refreshments. Please make your reservations by October 25th.


Sunday October 29th 11:30-5:00pm
We will represent Italy at the 45th Annual Festival of Nations, being held on October 29,  at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center. We will be selling Italian food, have a gift and promotion booth and provide Italian entertainment. Please buy your admission and raffle tickets from us. Adults are $5.00 and children are $2.00. The Chair is Nancy Macy.

Spring Museum hours (April/May) Mon., Thur. & Fri. from 11 am to 2 pm. Sat. & Sun. from 12 noon to 3 pm

June Museum hours Monday, Thursday & Friday 11:-2:00  Saturday & Sunday 12:00noon to 3:00

July & August Museum hours Monday, Thursday & Friday 11:-2:00  Saturday  12:00noon to 3:00

September 1st to December 31st. our hours are: Mon. Thur. and Friday 11 am to 2 pm . Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon to 3 pm.

January 1st to March 31st
the museum will only be open on Friday 11am-2pm. & Saturday. from 12 noon to 3 pm and by appointment.

If you are coming from a distance always call ahead,
518 435-1979 to see if the museum is closed due to the weather!



 

The museum will be closed on Sunday during July and August.



Open by advance appointment outside of regular hours.

If your coming a distance please call ahead to see if we will be open the day you wish to visit, since our staff are all volunteers.
