Pizza & Movie Night: . The movie
is “Letters to Juliet” (English). The comedy, drama, romance
movie is about a young American who travels to Verona, Italy and
inspires a woman to travel to Italy in search of her long-lost
love. Cost is $5 for pizza and refreshments. Please make your
reservations by October 25th.
Sunday October 29th 11:30-5:00pm
We will represent Italy at the 45th Annual Festival of Nations,
being held on October 29, at the Empire State
Plaza Convention Center. We will be selling Italian food, have a
gift and promotion booth and provide Italian entertainment.
Please buy your admission and raffle tickets from us. Adults are
$5.00 and children are $2.00. The Chair is Nancy Macy.
Italian Genealogy – Next Steps

As follow-up to last
month’s presentation, “Jumpstart Your Italian Genealogy,”
retired educator John Capano will provide a more in-depth
exploration of research resources such as Ancestry.com to assist
you in finding “lost” ancestors and new, living relatives you
never knew existed. Bring your own laptop or tablet device. A
donation of $5 is requested as are reservations by 11/28.
Italian Christmas Market 12/1 and
2/2017, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. 12/3/2017, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Share and celebrate in the old
Italian tradition of the “Christmas Market.” Marvel at the
exquisite, room-sized annual Italian Nativity featuring live
mosses and life-like figurines. The Museum’s exhibit rooms are
transformed into mini-market places filled with something for
almost everyone on your Christmas shopping list -- including
yourself! Some of the unique Italian merchandise offered
includes: Italian language greeting cards, “Made-in-Italy”
items, wooden Ceppo, Befana figures, themed ornaments, plaques,
novelties, delicious homemade Italian baked goods, etc. as well
as hand-crafted items by talented vendors. Our Market Café will
offer food, beverage and fellowship. So join us in celebrating
Italian culture at this most beautiful time of year. Buon
Italian Christmas Cooking Class

Scalise will make an Italian Christmas stew and almond paste
cookies. Tasting after the class! Cost is $10 for
ingredients. Payment and reservation by 12/1 please.
